On Standby

ATTENTION KINGDOM - A message from your King.

So, in case anyone missed the Facebook post, Phoenix is no longer with us as our lead singer. There were no hard feelings in his parting, and On Standby will continue onward as best we can. We’re taking the time to do some songwriting and re-writing, and we’re testing singers for the future.

We hope to come back swinging towards the end of this year, with a lot of new material and some surprises for all you Bystanders our there!

THIS IS YOUR KING SPEAKING!

Right-O. So. I’m fairly certain we had a PureVolume account eons ago, but it apparently…I dunno, got erased or something. So, I have created, updated, and spruced up a brand spanking new one, just for you…my loyal subjects. Here’s a few updates:

As hinted at and briefly discussed on our last 98Rock interview, the band is working on the beginnings of a concept, which is currently set to span a single album, maybe more. The story will decide for us as it progresses. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OH GOD HALP.  The concept will be designed in such a way that the music will provide the soundtrack for a story, but both entities will still be able to be enjoyed on their own. BE EXCITED.

Our next show will be a hip-hop and rock showcase on Saturday, March 30th at The Hour Haus in Baltimore, MD at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10.00 in advance from any band member, but if you bring four friends, we’ll give you YOUR ticket for FREE! FREE IS GOOD, RIGHT?! Right. So drag all your friends away from their responsibilities, and bring ‘em out. Bands featured will be: Dolla Dreamz, Guy Grams, E.N.V.Y., Brazy Da Boss, Awake the Atrium, WeAreUS, Trah, and Dash (PMR=DMC).

At the above stated show, we will be playing AT LEAST ONE (1) brand new song, written this year! All new songs are heavily linked to the concept, so you’ll be getting a sneak peek at the beginnings of our new undertaking. BE THERE OR RISK NOT KNOWING ANYTHING, EVER.

CONGRATULATIONS KINGDOM. You are now updated properly. Go forth, tell your friends, tell your family, and if you don’t speak to them, tell your pets. We like dogs.
